Honour Roll

As sons of Confederate soldiers we are grateful for their courage, and devotion to preserve the liberty that their forefathers secured for them.  We list for you their names, units and a brief description of their service for the cause of liberty.

President Jefferson Davis in his inaugural addressed summarized the purpose for which the southerner fought. "Through this instrumentality (Confederate constitution), under the favor of Divine providence, we hope to perpetuate the principles of our revolutionary fathers...The tyranny of an unbridled majority, the most odious and least responsible form of despotism, has denied us both the right and the remedy.  Therefore we are in arms to renew such sacrifices as our father made to the holy cause of constitutional liberty."
