Our monthly meeting will be at the Baptist Tabernacle on Saturday September 19.  Pastor John Weaver, the one-time national SCV chaplain, will be our featured speaker.  The schedule for that Saturday will be as follows:

4:00 -5:30 PM        “Bushwacker Johnston”

5:30-6:30 PM           Barbeque Supper
6:30-8:00 PM        “The Christian Character of Robert E. Lee”

Please take note that you and your family are invited to participate in this conference.  There will be a nursery provided for children three and younger, and the meal is free to those who attend the sessions.  You are also welcome to attend the Sunday services, which are at 9:45 AM, 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM.  Baptist Tabernacle is located at 310 North Bethel Street in Thomaston.  For more information check out the church's website at:  www.BaptistTabernacle.us .

Dates to Remember

• Lee - Jackson Banquet  will be at the Gathering Place in Barnesville on  Saturday, January 16, 2010.  The speaker will be Georgia Division Commander Jack Bridwell.

• Concord Jubilee will be on October 17-18.  Volunteers are needed to represent the camp, recruit, and sell car tags.  Set up will begin Friday October 16 at 2:00 PM, no vehicles are allowed after setup.  Saturday, October 17 the booth will be open from 9:00 AM-6:00 PM and Saturday, October 18 from 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Dues

 We still have some members who have not paid their dues.  Every member is important to our camp.  Our camp is one of the best in the entire Division and we need every member to keep it that way.  Dues are $50.00 and need to be paid.  If you have any questions about whether or not you owe dues, contact Adj.
